The Buffalo State College Department of Elementary Education and Reading (www.buffalostate.edu/elementaryeducation) offers its teacher education students multiple opportunities for field experiences. As a part of their educational process, each student is required to take part in a variety of hands-on classroom training starting immediately upon acceptance into the program.
Now, we’re taking that to a whole new dimension!!!
Under the direction of Dr. Hibajene Shandomo, some qualified students will have the chance to do a field experience module in the country of Zambia.
A Professional Development Schools (PDS) experience places the student in a school and classroom setting, allowing for maximum exposure on every level to the teaching profession. For more information about what a PDS is, please visit this website: www.buffalostate.edu/pds.
